Applied Motivation
Introduction And objectives:-
I have chosen my presentation group of business strategy group. our task is to analyze
the case and present among the whole class and Infront of instructor and one guest. We are
total four members. we all have assigned for different slides. Professors assigned group
presentation because they combined the cooperative learning benefits of working in
groups with the active learning benefits of speaking in front of an audience.
Our main goal is to provide our audience with input to a given topic. This input serves as
the basis for discussion during session. For a fruitful discussion, it is not only essential
to present the basic concepts and ideas, but also to spark the classmates’ interest in the topic.
our another goal was to bring together and analyze the case properly. The case is so difficult
and need to communicate with the team. We contribute well and try to gave the best
presentation.
Specific Actions
(1) Setting clear goals-
The team will remain motivated to complete the assignment if it has clear goals that are set
for each team member and the group as a whole. According to the Expectancy Theory, people
will put in extra effort if they believe it will result in something positive. Everyone will be
inspired to work hard to accomplish the goal if they are aware of what is expected of them
individually and of the team as a whole.
(2) Provide positive reinforcement:-
Rewarding group members for their contributions is a good strategy to keep them motivated.
Little incentives, like praises or expressions of gratitude, can go a long way towards inspiring
people to keep working hard and striving to achieve the team's goals.
(3) Cooperation-
This action is best to bring the whole team together . To accomplish this, team members will
be urged to support and critique one another. The team will feel more cohesive as a result,
which will motivate them more. In order to accomplish the project goals, I intend to give team
members the chance to collaborate and share ideas.
(4) Achievement theory-
It will be easier to keep team members on task and motivated to complete their assignments if
you use the Achievement Theory to provide feedback on how they are performing. According
to the achievement theory, individuals are more inclined to persist when they are aware of
their progress. By providing feedback, team members are more likely to stay on task and feel
encouraged to complete their assignments.
(5) Equity theory-
Team members will be inspired to produce their best work in an environment where everyone
receives a just return for what they contribute to the group. According to the equity theory,
people are more motivated to put in extra effort when they believe they are being given fair
credit for their efforts. Giving each team member a fair compensation for their job will
encourage them to put in more effort since they will know it will be appreciated.
(6) Foster a collaborative environment:
Collaboration within the team is crucial for fostering team chemistry, information sharing,
and the completion of challenging projects. Depending on the function, it can assist in
allocating work in a way that direct reports stand out, enhances their skill sets, and overall
team improvement.
Conclusion
The overall goal is to apply motivational theories to establish a setting where team members
are rewarded and encouraged for their efforts and results. If team members understand what
is expected of them, receive just rewards, and receive constructive criticism, they will be
driven to complete their goals and accomplish their objectives.
